Mr. Wilson Albert Faulkenberry, 79, of Lancaster passed away Thursday, May 21, 2020 at MUSC-Lancaster. He was born April 26, 1941 in Chesterfield, a son of the late Thomas Napolean Faulkenberry and Annie Baker Faulkenberry. Mr. Faulkenberry was a faithful member of Westside Baptist Church and served as Deacon, Sunday School teacher, Brotherhood President and Choir member. He retired from Grace Bleachery after 35 years of faithful service. In his retirement years he enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Mr. Faulkenberry loved his family and cherished his time spent with each member.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Faulkenberry will be held Saturday, May 23, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. from the graveside at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Todd Robinson, Dr. Brian Saxon and Rev. Larry Helm officiating. Mr. Faulkenberry is survived by his wife, Doris Sullivan Faulkenberry of Lancaster; two sons, Cecil Faulkenberry and his wife Penny and David Faulkenberry and his wife Katy all of Lancaster; a daughter, Lisha F. Booth and her husband James “Bubba” of Lancaster; a sister, Betty Ruth Rutledge and her husband Oscar Ray of Heath Springs; eight grandchildren, Courtney Brooks and her husband Mark, Anna Flynn, Brandon Faulkenberry and his wife Caroline, Ashley Johnson and her husband Jeremy, Jessica Faulkenberry, Jordan Sellers, Katelyn Sellers and Bryce Faulkenberry; and eight great-grandchildren, Elijah Faulkenberry, Emma Grace Brooks, Jacob Faulkenberry, Brantley Flynn, Josiah Johnson, Mackenzie Brooks, Lily Johnson and Samantha Faulkenberry. He was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Albert Faulkenberry; a brother, Harold William Faulkenberry; three sisters, Mazie Hendrix, Sarah Rollins and Linda Vincent; and two great grandchildren, Lucas James Flynn and Ella Kate Brooks.The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mr. Faulkenberry.
