Mrs. Willie Mae Hudson Carnes, 84, of Lancaster passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Atrium Health Pineville. She was the widow of Billy Brown Carnes. She was born May 6, 1935 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Hazel Hudson and Thelma Brasington Hudson. Mrs. Carnes enjoyed spending time with her family. She also liked the outdoors and loved gardening and watching her red birds.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Carnes will be held Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with the Rev. Donnie Birchfield officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mrs. Carnes is survived by two sons, Tim Carnes and his wife Kay and Mark Carnes and his wife Suzanne all of Lancaster; two daughters, Larnell Deese and Sandra Morgan both of Lancaster; a brother, Henry Hudson and his wife Karen of Charlotte; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
