Robert Carrol Coleman

Mr. Robert Carrol Coleman, 81, of Lancaster, husband of Sally Coleman, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020, at his home. He was born August 7, 1938 in Aquone, NC, a son of the late Jess Coleman and Estie Lambert Coleman. After high school, Mr. Coleman served our country in the U.S. Army as an MP. After the military service, he was involved with Textiles until his retirement from Springs Industries. Mr. Coleman enjoyed listening to music and he played the guitar. He liked the outdoors and enjoyed mowing grass and playing golf.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Coleman will be held Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 5 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Hammond officiating.Mr. Coleman is survived by his wife, Sally W. Coleman of Lancaster; a son, David Coleman of Boca Raton, FL; a daughter, Lisa Coleman Delaney and her husband Larry of Yulee. FL; a brother, Lawton Ray Coleman and his wife Dorothy of Shelby, NC; and a sister, Peggy Faye Meadows of Lancaster.
