Richard Lynn Lucas

Mr. Richard Lynn Lucas, 68, of Kershaw, husband of Sarah Adams Lucas, passed away Friday, January 24, 2020 at Prisma Health Richland in Columbia. He was born November 6, 1951 in Lancaster, a son of the late Clifton Lucas and Mary Ella Jenkins Lucas. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He loved to spend time with his family and friends.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Lucas will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with the Rev. Jackie Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in the Kershaw City Cemetery.Mr. Lucas is survived by his wife, Sarah A. Lucas; a son, Josh Lynn Lucas of Kershaw; a daughter, Kimberly Jane Lucas Rollins and her husband James of Kershaw; a brother, Clifford Melvin Lucas of Lancaster; two sisters, Shirley “Shirlene” Hinson of Kershaw and Gail Lucas “Patricia” Belk and her husband William of Catawba; and a granddaughter, Caroline Rollins. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lucas is preceded in death by a sister, Karen Adams.The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mr. Lucas.Read Obituary
