Maurice Vernon Emory

Mr. Maurice Vernon Emory, 72, of Lancaster passed away Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Prisma Health Baptist Hospital in Columbia. He was born July 2, 1946 in Lancaster, a son of the late Eldridge Robert Emory and Eunice Hawkins Emory. Maurice was a graduate of Lancaster High School where he excelled in athletics. He was the retired owner/operator of the Cellar and the End Zone.A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Emory will be held Monday, March 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Anderson officiating.Mr. Emory is survived by his son, Namath Emory and his wife, Tabatha of Lancaster; two brothers, Melvin Emory and his wife Jeannie and Eldridge Emory and his wife Perry Lee all of Lancaster; and three grandchildren, Brooke Emory, Courtney Emory and Ethan Elway Emory.
