Kenneth James "Ken" Clifton

Mr. Kenneth James Clifton, 73, of Lancaster passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018. He was born November 10, 1944 in Charlotte, a son of the late Paul Bruce Clifton and Elva Lucille Cook Clifton. Mr. Clifton was a member of Grace Freewill Baptist Church. He was born and raised in Charlotte, NC where he graduated from Myers Park High School. After graduation, he served our country as a Sailor in the U.S. Navy. When his military service ended, Mr. Clifton was involved in the food service industry until his retirement. He spent his retirement years loving and spoiling his grandchildren, Alexis and James. Mr. Clifton also worked at IGA Food Liner in Kershaw.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Clifton will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Anders officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mr. Clifton is survived by his wife, Kimberly B. Clifton of Lancaster; a daughter, Kendall Elizabeth Martin and her husband Scott of Lancaster; three brothers, Larry B. Clifton and his wife Gail of Greer, Wayne H. Clifton, Sr. and his wife Brenda of Matthews, NC and Jerry L. Clifton of Charlotte; two sisters, Sandra K Richards and her husband Jim of Bolivar, ME and Sara E. Fincher and her husband Tommy of Charlotte, NC; a brother-in-law, James Booker of Shallotte, NC; and two grandchildren, Alexis Nicole Martin and James Henry Martin of Lancaster.
