Mrs. Joyce Annette Threatt Airington, 73, of Fort Lawn, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2020 at her home. She was born December 31, 1946 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late John Amos Threatt and Bernice Adams Threatt. Mrs. Airington was a devoted homemaker. Her home was a place where all were welcome. She loved her family and adored her many grandchildren that came to visit.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Airington will be held Thursday, May 7, 2020 at. noon at the graveside at Elmwood Cemetery in Fort Lawn with the Rev. Dr. Ted Hodges and the Rev. Steven Woody officiating.Mrs. Airington is survived by her husband, Albert William Airington; five sons, Billy Keener and his wife Charlie of Great Falls, David Airington and his significant other Kimmie, of Pageland, Rodney Airington of Lancaster, John “Tommy” Keener and his wife Denise of Rock Hill and Charles “Scottie” Airington of Fort Lawn; a brother, Johnny Threatt of Fort Lawn; a sister, Linda Smith and her husband Claude of Fort Lawn; fourteen grandchildren, C. J, Breanna, Brittany, Trey, Christopher, Tiffaney, Amber, Courtney, Caitlin, Alexis, Travis, Brandon, Trisha, and Jonathon; twenty great grandchildren; and ten great great grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until noon, Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Elmwood Cemetery and other times at the home of Tommy and Denise Keener, 1958 Pittman Lane, Edgemoor, SC.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Airington.
