Mrs. Dorothy Elaine Beatty Whitaker, 75, of Lancaster, wife of William E. “Fuzzy” Whitaker, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at her home. She was born November 1, 1943 in Lancaster.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Whitaker will be held Friday, January 4, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Canaan Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Mitch Gulledge, the Rev. Dr. Stuart Snow and the Rev. Tim Larrimore officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mrs. Whitaker is survived by her husband of 53 years, William W. “Fuzzy” Whitaker; two daughters, Cindy W. Combs and her husband David of McConnells and Cassy Whitaker of Lancaster; six grandchildren, Erica Cox, Faith Cox, Seth Combs, Kelby Feenaughty, Michaela Combs, and Hannah Jones; and three great grandchildren, Paisley Blalock, Liam Jones and Lynleigh Jones.The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Whitaker.Read Obituary
