Brenda Jean Smith

Mrs. Brenda Jean Dewberry Smith, 72, of Lancaster passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at her home. She was born September 23, 1946 in Charlotte, a daughter of the late Cecil and Betty Jean Bennett Dewberry. Mrs. Smith was a loving mother and grandmother, she love to travel and play bingo, spending time with her family and friends and was a member of the Charlotte Road – Van Wyck Fire Department Auxiliary and loved to cook for her family and friends. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Smith will be held Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Lancaster Funerl Home. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park. Mrs. Smith is survived by two daughters, Wendy Roof and her husband Craig of Lancaster, and Lisa Wrinn and her husband Steve of Huntersville; three grandchildren, Cynthia Ford, Brent Privette and David Wilson; and four great grandchildren, Ariel Ford, Marissa Sikorski, Madelyn Privette, and Remy Privette. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Dewberry, Betty Jean Bennett Dewberry; and a brother, David Dewberry. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home of Wendy and Craig Roof.
