Billy Ray Whitaker Sr.

Mr. Billy Ray Whitaker, Sr., 74, of Lancaster passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Piedmont Medical Center. He was born December 9, 1944 in Marshville, NC, a son of the late John Walter Whitaker and Virginia Threatt Whitaker.A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Whitaker will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with Timothy Hilburn and Billy Ray Whitaker, Jr. officiating.Mr. Whitaker is survived by Sadie Davidson Whitaker of Lancaster; a son, Billy Ray Whitaker, Jr. and his wife Sherrie of Lancaster; a daughter, Rebecca Hilburn and her husband Tim of Lancaster; a sister, Lucille Garris of Lancaster; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Wallace, four brothers, Johnny Whitaker, Thomas Carroll Whitaker, Eddie Carson Whitaker and Kenneth Earl Whitaker; and a sister, Peggy Steele.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mr. Whitaker.Read Obituary
