Mrs. Betty Phillips Clough, 86, of Lancaster passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Carolinas Continue Care Hospital. She was born March 31, 1933 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Dock Franklin Phillips and Mabel Phillips. Mrs. Clough was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church. In addition, she had a desire to help others and was a volunteer at Springs Memorial Hospital for many years.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Clough will be held Friday, June 14, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the West Side Cemetery.Mrs. Clough is survived by her husband, Clyde G. “Pete” Clough of Lancaster; a son, Edward Clough and his wife Karen Lavender of Gaffney; and two grandchildren, Madeline and Gillian Clough. She was preceded in death by a son, Philip Gordon “Clu” Clough; seven brothers, Jack Phillips, James Phillips, Fred Phillips, Bob Phillips, Melvin Phillips, Elmer Phillips and Baxter Phillips; and a sister, Gladys Young.The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Clough.Read Obituary
