Mr. Wylie Gene Vaughn, Sr., age 82 of Lancaster passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021 at his home. He was predeceased in death by his wife Acelia Sue (Young) Vaughn. He was born on November 24, 1938 in Heath Springs of the Late Clifford Vaughn and Jesse Faye Vaughn.A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Vaughn will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 4:00 pm at the Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donald W. Tillman officiating.Mr. Vaughn is survived by his four children, Crystal Carnes of Lancaster; Melinda Woodhurst (Andrew) of Rock Hill; Wylie Vaughn, Jr, (Denise) of Kernersville, NC; and Tony Vaughn of Lancaster, SC; six grandchildren – (Brandon Kirk (Teresa), Andrew Woodhurst (Dana), Tyler Vaughn (Kayla), Hailey, Nikki (Will), Shane (Jesse); and seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Hazel Vaughn (Connie) and Tim Vaughn (Sarah Faulk), and a sister-in-law Mary Lynn Farr (Jim). Dear Wylie and Denise, We are so sorry to hear about your dad passing away. I am praying for you and hope that you find comfort in knowing he is in Heaven. It's so hard when we lose our dads. I pray that you feel God's loving arms around both of you.
