Willie Mae Pegram Bayne

Ms. Willie Mae Pegram Bayne, 76, of Heath Springs, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at her home. She was born April 9, 1944 in Chesterfield, a daughter of the late Joe Bennett Pegram and Mamie Ellen McClain Pegram. Ms. Bayne was a member of Jones Crossroads Baptist Church. She retired from Springs Industries after 35 years of faithful service. In her retirement years she enjoyed fishing and gardening. A service to celebrate the life of Ms. Bayne will be held Friday, August 28, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Jones Crossroads Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Hammond officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park. Ms. Bayne is survived by a son, David Bayne and his wife Pam of Heath Springs; two daughters, Kathy Roberts of Heath Springs and Lisa McClain of Pageland; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Willie Pegram, Ricky Pegram, Ray Pegram, Ernest Pegram and Junior Pegram; and four sisters, Juanita Wallace, Gladys Helms, Margaret Rumsey and Alice Pratt. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2020 at Jones Crossroads Baptist Church and other times at the home of Ms. Bayne.
