I started working for Springs around 1977 at the Fort Mill plant, he took me under his supervision and made me look fixer instructor for the training department.
I credit Howard for helping me get a start and be successful in life.
My wife and I both love this man and the memories very much.
RIP Howard.
Uncle Howard was a great friend and wonderful supporter of my mom and dad. You could also count on him in time of need. Growing up I watched Howard on our “home field” many times. We thought he had “major league” potential. He lived a long and good life. That is to be celebrated. My condolences to the family.

When I went to the White Plant in 1992 I knew very little about the looms. Howard took me under his wing and taught me a lot. He was a good teacher then and later a friend an advisor. May he rest in peace. Bob Newsome
My prayers are with the family and friends. Howard was a one of a kind person. He was always willing to lend a helping hand in racing gokarts .
