My heart goes out to all of Walter's family. Especially Timmy. I have good friends in the Waxhaw Village neighborhood. It was there, that I met Walter & Timmy.
Walter was one of the most interesting, kind, intelligent, gentlemen I have ever met. I enjoyed our conversations. He was a pure spirit of love.
I was so sad to hear of his passing. He will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
Walter was one of the kindest, sweetest gentle hearted man I've ever met. He was an icon in the neighborhood as he walked his dog Timmy everyday. He would always stop and talk and share his life and what was going on in his mind. He deserved a much better finish to his life than he got. May he rest in peace! I'll miss you Walter and so will the rest of the neighborhood. Calvin Kostelyk
My dad was a sweet, precious man who would do anything for the people he loved. He overcame many hardships in his life, including being a survivor of a POW camp during WW2. A native of Russia, he chose to fully embrace the American lifestyle once he immigrated to the United States. He always took great care of his family, up until the end. His German Shepherd Tim was truly his best friend; he took him on many car rides and fishing outings over the years. I love you so much Dad, and will miss you forever and always.
Nina, my friend, I never met your father but I know he raised a wonderful daughter. My thought and love are with you and your dad.
