Mr. Walter Demby, 79, of Lancaster passed away Monday, May 4, 2020 at Piedmont Medical Center. He was born April 7, 1941 in Jefferson, a son of the late Sam Demby and Hattie Mae Oliver HippA service to celebrate the life of Mr. Demby will be held Friday, May 8, 2020 at 2 p.m. from the graveside at Lancaster Memorial Park with the Rev. Roger Anders officiating.Mr. Demby is survived by his wife Ann Harris Demby of Lancaster; a son, Jody Walter Demby and his wife Heather of Summerville; a daughter, Stacy Demby Flowers and her husband Darryl of Greer; his step-father, Charlie Hipp and his wife Vicky of Kershaw; two sisters, Linda Sue Carter and her husband David of Kershaw and Carolyn Chadwick of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Joshua Demby and his wife Brittany, Tyler Demby, Ryan Flowers and Logan Demby; and two great-grandchildren, Eli Demby and Ezra Demby.Memorials contributions may be made to Grace Freewill Baptist Church, 1616 Alpha Road, Lancaster, SC 29720 or American Heart Association, 128 S.
