Vivian Ashley Ellis

Mrs. Vivian Ashley Ellis, 75, of Lancaster passed away Monday, October 18, 2021 at her home with her family by her side. She was born August 21, 1946 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Benjamin Kelly Ashley and Madge Thomas Ashley. Mrs. Ellis attended Second Baptist Church. She was a teacher’s aide for many years as well as administrative assistant at Lancaster Motor Company. Mrs. Ellis loved going to Bingo, playing cards, watching the Atlanta Braves as well as spending time with her family and friends. Her positive outlook on life and the fight for tomorrow when things got tough was what defined her, not the cancer that ultimately took her from us.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ellis will be held Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the graveside at Lancaster Memorial Park with the Rev. Larry Helm officiating. Mrs. Ellis is survived by her husband, Sidney Crawford Ellis of Lancaster; a son, Donnie Ellis and his wife Allison of Rock Hill; a daughter, Debbie Larmore and her husband Mark of Charlotte; a brother, Jimmy Ashley of Lancaster; five grandchildren, Doniell Ellis, Melissa Marcussen, Ryan Larmore, Jordan McCray and Caleb McCray; and six great-grandchildren, Ciara Cole, Emelia Marcussen, Caroline Larmore, Cohen McCray, Laton McCray and Madeline McCray. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Roberta Ellis, Christine Caskey and Geraldine Ashley.The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Ellis.Read Obituary
