Tobias Nelson "Toby" Sims

Mr. Tobias Nelson “Toby” Sims, 76, of Lancaster passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at his home. He was born March 21, 1941 in Lancaster, a son of the late John Furman Sims and Alma Inez Steele Sims. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Sims will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 11 am at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with the Rev. Mitch Gulledge officiating. Mr. Sims is survived by a son, Samuel N. “Sam” Sims of Lancaster; two daughters, Jenny Sims Sparks and her significant other, Allen Bailey of Lancaster and Carol Sims Langley and her husband Tommy of Kershaw; a sister, Peggy Huffman of Lancaster; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Furman Wilson Sims and Jimmy Daryl Sims; and a sister, Irene Cauthen. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2018 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home of Toby.
