Mr. Teddy Mitchell Bowers, 71, of Lancaster died Sunday, October 15, 2017. He was the son of Samuel Claude Bowers and Lessie Hunter Bowers. Teddy Bowers was born December 9, 1945 in Kershaw, SC. He is survived by his sisters, Pat Pardue and Judy Knight and her husband Glen of Lancaster, brother-n-law, Butch Edge of Rockwell, NC, and nieces Shari Bowers Sims of Rock Hill, SC and Stacy Knight Septer (Sam) of North Myrtle Beach, SC. He is also survived by his nephews, Willie and Lee Edge of Rockwell, NC and Chris Knight (Brandi) and Tom Bowers (Kristin) of Lancaster. He also had eight great nephews and a great niece, Patric and Travis Sims, Chase, Zeke and Ben Septer, Gabe and Ginger Knight, Jesse Edge and Keegan Bowers. Teddy Bowers enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, NASCAR, the Green Bay Packers and the South Carolina Gamecocks. He loved his family, had a great sense of humor, and a tender soul. He leaves his family with many memories that will be cherished. He also enjoyed taking his beloved dog Ben for rides in his truck and walks through the woods to find the best hunting spots. Ben was his best friend. Teddy Bowers was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Thomas “Buddy” Bowers, Charles M. Bowers, and his sister, April “Sue” Bowers Edge, along with his sisters-in-law, Verlie D. Bowers and Dianne Knight Bowers. Visitation will be Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 5 PM to 7 PM at Taylors Grove Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Taylors Grove Baptist Church.

So very sorry, Teddy was a true friend! He would drop by to see us every now and then and spend some time talking about years gone by. He came and shared his news of his sickness the day he found out and he assured me he and Jesus were ok and he prayed with me . He promised me a fishing trip when I was ready, sooooo we will go fishing in the river of life ☮️✝️️✝️️✝️️☮️That's a promise
