Sherry Darlene Small Johnson

Mrs. Sherry Darlene Small Johnson, 56, of Lancaster, wife of Russell “Bret” Johnson, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at her home. She was born July 16, 1962 in Lancaster, a daughter of Johnny Marion Small and the late Kathleen Elizabeth Knight Small. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Johnson will be held Friday, January 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Lynwood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sh-Kur Francis and the Rev. Larry Plyler officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband Bret Johnson; a son, Bret Johnson, II of Lancaster; a daughter, Erica Merritt and her fiancé Jeremy Baker of Lancaster; two sisters, Nanette Yontz and her husband Mike of Bellevue, Ohio and Stacey Small of Lancaster; and four grandchildren, Caylin Merritt, Hailey Johnson, Dallas Johnson and Riley Johnson. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2019 at Lynwood United Methodist Church.
