Scotty Eugene Carter

Mr. Scotty Eugene Carter, 70, of Fort Lawn, husband of Sara Lipscomb Carter, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at MUSC Medical Health – Chester Medical Center. He was born March 16, 1949 in Lancaster, a son of the late Jonathan Hoyte Carter and Sybil Stacks Carter. Mr. Carter was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He loved hunting, fishing, and watching racing. Mr. Carter loved spending time with his grandchildren and watching them play sports. He worked for Springs Industries for over 25 years.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Carter will be held Friday, March 29, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the graveside at Elmwood Cemetery in Fort Lawn with the Rev. Jim McClure officiating.Mr. Carter is survived by his wife Sara Lipscomb Carter; a son, Scott Carter and his wife Crystal of Lancaster; a daughter, Crystal Sanders and her husband Jim of Lancaster; and six grandchildren, Jason Dobbins, Jordan Carter, Matthew Carter, Landon Carter, Connor Sanders and Kaitlyn Sanders. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Carter.The family will receive friends at their home.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mr. Carter.Read Obituary
