Russell Darwin "Rusty" Barrineau

Mr. Russell Darwin “Rusty” Barrineau, 67, of Lancaster passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 at his home. He was born March 31, 1954 in Lancaster, a son of the late Algie Darwin Barrineau and Peggy Lucille Sinclair Barrineau. Mr. Barrineau had a very rewarding life. He retired from Sonny Bowers Dodge, where he enjoyed working and meeting many people. However, Mr. Barrineau’ first love was music. He played the piano and organ at church and he loved gospel music for which he is best remembered. Mr. Barrineau was a member of the following gospel groups. The first was Vision, followed by The Kensmen Quartet. Most recently was the Heritage Quartet. Mr. Barrineau loved his family dearly and relished his time spent with his grandchildren. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Barrineau will be held Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris McEachern officiating. A private burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park. Mr. Barrineau is survived by his wife, Judy Doster Barrineau; three daughters, Jessica Carter (Kenny) of Heath Springs, Nicole McEachern (Chris) of Brunswick, GA, and Brittany Miller (Kendall) of Richburg; and five grandchildren, Austin, Dante, Bree, Addison and Lucas. In addition to his parents, Rusty was preceded in death by a grandson, Karter Miller and a brother, Philip Barrineau. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Lancaster Funeral Home.
