Mrs. Rosa Lee Poston Catoe, 76, of Lancaster passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 at her home. She was born March 3, 1943 in Chesterfield, a daughter of the late Charlie Poston and Florence Howell Poston. Rosa was a well-known seamstress and baker for over 40 years. She was employed with Williams Drug Center for many years before becoming a CNA where she retired in 2010 to lovingly take care of her husband, Jesse F. Catoe.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Catoe will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Douglas Presbyterian Church with Wayne Walton officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mrs. Catoe is survived by her three children, Tina R. Brown and husband, Roger Brown of North Augusta, Jesse Franklin Catoe, II and his fiancé Hope Mosley of Lancaster and Chris L. Catoe and his girlfriend Becky Lane of Lancaster; her sister in laws, Sallie Poston, Lyda B. Davis, Freida Catoe, and Sharon E. Horton and her husband Buddy, and a brother in law, Samuel O. Catoe and his wife Marie; eight grandchildren, Jessica, David, Courtney, Alyssa, Kierstyn, Remington, Harley, and Kenlee; three great grandchildren, Janna, Kimber, and Mickey. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Catoe was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jesse Franklin Catoe; six siblings, Ivey Nell Lehota, Edward Poston, John A. Poston, J. W. Poston, Eva Mae Plyler, and Vernon Poston; and one grandchild, Leanna Gayle Catoe.The family especially thanks Pansy Wilson, Ann Hurley, Emma Thompson, and all of the Douglas Presbyterian Church family for everything they have done for the family.The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Douglas Presbyterian Church – Fellowship Hall.Memorial contributions may be made to Douglas Presbyterian Church, 2325 Sunday Place, Lancaster, SC 29720.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Catoe.Read Obituary

Tina and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was an extremely wonderful lady and I know that she will be missed. I also know the sweet reunion she is enjoying in Heaven with her savior and your Daddy. I will lift you all in my prayers and I send you my love.

Rosa was such a kind, loving CNA when my Mother was in White Oak. She was loved by everyone. I am so sorry for the loss of such a warm and compassionate lady. I will keep everyone in my thoughts and prayers.
