Mr. Robert Lee “Bobby” Mackey, 74, of Lancaster passed away Monday, June 18, 2018 at his home. He was born November 19, 1943 in Lancaster, a son of the late Robert Lee Mackey, Sr. and Fannie Rebecca Pressley Mackey. Mr. Mackey was a member of New Life Christian Assembly. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. Mr. Mackey was a member of Jackson Masonic Lodge #53 and The Order of the Eastern Star 146 Lancaster Chapter. He enjoyed watching westerns on TV and being in the yard and also loved life and lived it to the fullest.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Mackey will be held Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 12 pm at Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Henry Carnley and Rev. Tommy Howell officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mr. Mackey is survived by his wife, Dianne J. Mackey of Lancaster; a son, Robert Joel Mackey of Lancaster; a brother, Jason Mackey and his wife Sandra of Lancaster; a sister, Mary Lee Terry and her husband Lennie of Lancaster; a brother-in-law, Tommy Hensley; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Hensley.The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Lancaster Funeral Home.Memorial contributions may be made to New Life Christian Assembly, P.O. Dianne, I just learned of our loss today and send my sincerest sympathy to you and your family. I will also say the tribute created of Bobby for you is so nice and full of memories a lot of us share of you in high school. What a wonderful thing you shared with us. Thank you and good bless.
