Mr. Ricky Eugene Steele, 65, of Lancaster, widower of Patricia Roof Steele, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Heath Springs Residential Care. He was born July 23, 1954 in Lancaster, a son of the late Homer Eugene Steele and Gertrude Rollins Steele. Mr. Steele enjoyed being outdoors and he loved riding his motorcycle. He appreciated good jokes and was a practical joker. He had a fancy for funny t-shirts. He left this world as the king of nursing home.A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Steele will be held Sunday, September 27, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. at the Lancaster Moose Lodge with the Rev. Cotton Pate officiating. The family will host a dinner following the service at the Lancaster Moose Lodge, 200 Shrine Moose Drive, Lancaster. Please join us.Mr. Steele is survived by a son, Charles Ricky Steele of Rock Hill; two brothers, Michael Steele of Jonesville, SC and Danny Steele and his wife Kristie of Fort Lawn; and two sisters, Robbie Shoemake of Rock Hill and Kathy Crawford of Pelion. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Pat Hindman.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mr. Steele.
