Richard Lee Welch

Mr. Richard Lee Welch, 47, of Lancaster passed away Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Atrium Health-Pineville. He was born May 29, 1972 in Columbia, a son of the late Lavern Welch and Lois McLaughlin Welch. Mr. Welch was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed hunting, watching TV and going to the Smokey Mountains, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Welch will be held Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 3 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Marty Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.Mr. Welch is survived by his wife Renee W. Welch of Lancaster; three sons, Richie Gene Welch and his wife Tiffany of Indian Land, Randell “Fat” Welch and his wife Heidi of Lancaster and Aaron “Hot Rod” Welch and his wife Brianna of Jefferson; a sister, Vicky Welch of Lancaster; five grandchildren, Kensley Shyann Welch, Kayleigh Shay Welch, Aubrey Michelle Welch, Braylen Ryan Welch and Airyka Ann Welch; a special niece and nephew, Dena Medlin and Grant Medlin.
