Rex Faile

Mr. Rex Faile, 84, of Lancaster passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at his home. He was born August 3, 1935 in Lancaster, a son of the late Ernest Harvey Faile and Euree Hunter Faile. Mr. Faile was the owner/operator of By Pass Carpet and By Pass Barber Shop. He enjoyed traveling to the mountains and attending Blue Grass festivals. Mr. Faile was of the Baptist faith. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Faile will be held Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 1 p.m. from the graveside at Hopewell United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Faile and Rev. Candice Sloan officiating. Mr. Faile is survived by his wife, Bobbie Lloyd Faile of Lancaster; two sons, Rex E. Faile, Sr. and his wife Karen and Ronny E. Faile all of Lancaster; two daughters, Patricia H. Walker and Sheila H. Starnes and her husband Dale all of Lancaster; a sister, Margie F. Points of Lancaster; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Virginia Faile of Rome, GA; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Rev. Marvin E. Faile and Bobby K. Faile; and a sister, Patricia F. Gibson. The family will receive friends following the graveside service at Hopewell United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to the church of one’s choice or to Providence Care Hospice of Rock Hill VA Fund, 500 Lakeshore Parkway, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
