Mr. Paul Walter Outlaw, Jr., 86, of Lancaster, widower of Marjorie Mackey Outlaw, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at his home. He was born May 26, 1933 in Mineral Springs, NC, a son of the late Paul Walter Outlaw, Sr. and Georgia Lee Yow Outlaw. Mr. Outlaw graduated from high school and then served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After the military service, Mr. Outlaw became involved in the textile industry and worked in the engineering department for Springs Industries until his retirement. He had a keen analytical mind and had the ability to fix anything that was broken. Mr. Outlaw was very outgoing and made friends easily. He was quite a story teller and he enjoyed telling about his time spent in Austria while in the service. Mr. Outlaw was a devoted husband and father who adored his family. Margie was the love of his life and they were married 64 wonderful years.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Outlaw will be held Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 3 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rusty McAlister officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mr. Outlaw is survived by three daughters, Linda Mahaley of Gastonia, NC, Sandra Truesdale and her husband Michael of Lancaster and Brenda Outlaw and her husband Ricky of Dawsonville, GA; six grandchildren, Sean Mahaley, Kathleen Dorr, Anna Truesdale, Kayla Adams, Christopher Mullins and Caitlin Mullins; and a great-grandson, Dawson Adams.The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Lancaster Funeral Home.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mr. Outlaw.
