Nancy Mattox Horton

Ms. Nancy Mattox Horton, 79, of Lancaster passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at her home. She was born November 25, 1939 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Henry Mattox and Nannie Wilson Mattox. Mrs. Horton was a member of Second Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Mrs. Horton loved to sew, work in her yard and spend time with family and friends. She especially loved her fur babies.A service to celebrate the life of Ms. Horton will be held Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Helm officiating. Entombment will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum.Ms. Horton is survived by a son, Phillip “Chuck” Horton of Lancaster; a daughter, Debbie Horton Harden of Virginia Beach, VA; a sister, Hilda Porter of Lancaster; two grandchildren, Sydney Harden and Blair Harden. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Mattox and Paul Mattox; and a sister, Elizabeth Van Keuren.The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Second Baptist Church and other times at the home of Chuck Horton.Memorial contributions may be made to Lancaster SPCA, P.O.
