Michael Fred "Mike" Hancock

Mr. Michael Fred “Mike” Hancock, 65, of Lancaster, husband of Vickie Carnes Hancock, passed away Monday, July 27, 2020 in Columbia. He was born June 6, 1955 in Lancaster, a son of Harriett Morton Steele and the late Fred Hancock. He loved people and making new friends. He enjoyed selling produce and used the experience as a way to meet people. Mr. Hancock liked animals and loved his dog Pixie.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Hancock will be held Friday, July 31, 2020 at 5:00 at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with Rev. Mitch Ingram and Junior Bradley officiating.Mr. Hancock is survived by his wife, Vickie Carnes Hancock; a son, Brett “Chuck” Lee of Lancaster; two daughters, Lisa Thomas of Lancaster and Jaime Michelle White of Charlotte; his mother, Harriett Steele of Pageland; his “Dad”, Tommy Steele of Pageland; a sister, Cathy Brasington of Kershaw; and three grandchildren. In addition to his father, Mr. Hancock was preceded in death by a brother Glenn Hancock; a sister, Kim Hancock; and his special grandmother, Beulah Morton.The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2020 at Lancaster Funeral Home.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mr. Hancock.Read Obituary
