Ms. Melissa Ann Gainer, age 48, of Lancaster passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021 at her home. Born March 15, 1973 in Lancaster, She was a daughter of Melvin Thomas Gainer and Alicia Hinnant Gainer. Melissa was very outgoing and loved her family and friends dearly. She loved being a Mimi, enjoyed riding Harley’s and was a movie buff (could always figure how the movie was going to end on Lifetime Movies). The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Faith Baptist Church. A service to celebrate the life of Melissa will follow at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Gerald Eaves officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.Melissa is survived by two sons, Michael Gainer and Cody Gainer (fiancé, Lyndsay), all of Lancaster; her parents, Melvin and Alicia Gainer of Lancaster; her brother, Chad Gainer (Teresa Mullis) of Lancaster; two grandchildren, Reed Rockholt and Aubrey Reign Gainer; a nephew, Trevor Gainer; and a special friend, Cully Henson.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Melissa Gainer.
