Mary Robbie Baskin Outen

Robbie Baskin Outen passed away August 11, 2017 at Clemson Downs Nursing Facility, Clemson, SC. She was born May 26, 1926 in Lancaster County, SC. Her parents were Minton and Effie Baskin.She was preceded in death by her husband, James Boyd Outen, of 56 years; two sisters, Rachel Carter and Judie McManus; and brother, David Baskin. Survivors include her sister, Sybil Faulkenberry; and sisters-in-law, Claudia Baskin and Grace Roberts. Her children are Patti Goldie (Steve), Pam Cook (Charles), and Jim Outen (Becky). Also, she has six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.Robbie graduated from Berry College in 1950, and she taught in the Lancaster School System until retirement in 1985. She was a longtime member of Glenwood Heights Baptist Church. A graveside service led by Rev. Ben Newman will be held Monday, August 14, at Lancaster Memorial Park at 2 PM.
