Mary Lucille Edwards Brewer

Mrs. Mary Lucille Edwards Brewer, 81, of Lancaster passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Cottonwoods Villa in Bishopville. She was born June 10, 1937 in Chesterfield, a daughter of the late Jessie Edwards and Eva Hilton Edwards. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved cooking and being with her children and grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Brewer will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with the Rev. Buddy Thomas officiating. Burial will be at Lancaster Memorial Park at a later date. Mrs. Brewer is survived by a son, Joseph Darren Brewer of Rock Hill; two daughters, Vickie Deese and Donna Catoe both of Lancaster; a brother, Jerry Edwards of Pageland; two sisters, Myrtle Blackmon and Betty Melton both of Pageland; thirteen grandchildren, Toni Avant, Cheltsie Deese, Chris Catoe, B. J. Catoe, Jerry Catoe, Adam Catoe, Jr. Brewer, Angie Brewer, Stacey Brewer, Becky Brewer, Jessie Brewer, Mandy Brewer and Joseph Brewer; and a number of great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brewer was preceded in death by two sons, Billy Brewer and Dennis Brewer; a daughter, Debra Gunter; and three grandchildren, Jody Deese, Stephanie Deese, and Justin Sampley. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2018 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home of Vickie Deese.
