Mrs. Mary Jean Adams Bowers, 71, of Kershaw, widow of Curtis Willis Bowers, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Blue Ridge in the Fields. She was born June 17, 1950 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Lester Eugene Adams and Mary Elizabeth Crenshaw Adams. Mrs. Bowers was a member of Providence Baptist Church. She retired from Home Care Hospice of Lancaster after 30 plus years of service. She enjoyed shopping and going to yard sales.A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Bowers will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church with the Rev. Todd Gandy officiating. Inurnment will be in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date. The family requests that masks be worn.Mrs. Bowers is survived by two brothers, Eddie Adams and his wife Joyce of Kershaw and Danny Adams and his wife Libby of Lancaster; two sisters, Jo Anne Broughton and Nancy Rushing both of Lancaster; a special friend, Debbie Bryson; and many nieces and nephews. Cousins, i am so sorry I didn't make it to Mary Jean's funeral. I left my house at 1pm and I gave up trying to find the church at 3pm. I loved her and all of you, I am so sorry I missed saying goodbye to her and visiting with you all. If you have an extra handout I would love to have one to put with Aunt Libs. LY, cousin Sue
