Mrs. Martha Faulkenberry Roberts, 70, of Lancaster, widow of Willie Frank Roberts, Sr., passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Atrium Health - Monroe. She was born March 11, 1951 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Faulkenberry and Minnie Elizabeth Faulkner Faulkenberry. Mrs. Roberts enjoyed listening to gospel music, watching old westerns, reading her bible and most of all spending time with her family. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Roberts will be held Monday, March 7, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Jessie Adams officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park. Mrs. Roberts is survived by two daughters, Dawn Bowers and her husband Todd and Jackie Chitwood and her husband Jimmy all of Lancaster; a son, Dennis Roberts of Lancaster; two brothers, Roger Faulkenberry and his wife Vicki and Dennis Faulkenberry and his wife Sylvia all of Lancaster; a sister, Judy Harris of Texas; among her grandchildren are, Mandy, Cody, Lyndsey, Blake, Savana, Shanna, Toby, Courtney, Rebecca, Benji, Calvin and Bailey; and a number of great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by two sons, Willie Frank “Junior” Roberts, Jr. and Calvin “Fatboy” Roberts; and a brother, Grover Faulkenberry. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2022 at Lancaster Funeral Home.
