Marcine Ashley Terry

Mrs. Marcine Ashley Terry, 84, of Lancaster, widow of Woodrow Terry, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at her home. She was born October 7, 1934 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Edward Ashley and Zelma Robinson Ashley. Mrs. Terry was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and had retired from Springs Industries. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Terry will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, 3731 Lynwood Drive, Lancaster, with the Rev. Steven Pace and the Rev. Dr. Frank Jordan officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Terry is survived by two sons, Rick Terry and his wife Debbie of Kings Mountain and Ted E. Terry and his wife Cathy of Lancaster; two brothers, Clyde Ashley and his wife Nellie and R. B. Ashley and his wife Pat all of Lancaster; two sisters, Sudie Mae Carpenter and her husband Bill and Frances “Sally” Faulkenberry all of Lancaster; eight grandchildren, Travis, Jamie Jeremy, Brett, Josh, Tony, Mia, Shawn and one step-grandson Jerry Brooks, twelve great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Terry was preceded in death by five brothers, Early Criminger, Junior Ashley, Crawford Ashley, Cletus Criminger and J. C. Criminger; and three sisters, Inez Phillips, Katie Hernandez and Betty Rollins. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2019 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home.
