Mr. Mac Leon Williams, 78, of Lancaster passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at MUSC-Lancaster. He was born November 20, 1942 in Lancaster, a son of the late James Lovic Williams and Ruby Rae Parker Williams. Mac was a member of Old Waxhaw Presbyterian Church where he had served as an Elder. Mac played the organ and piano in various churches and was the organist at Old Waxhaw Presbyterian Church at the time of his death. He served our country in the U.S. Air Force for 28 years, was in the State Guard for 15 years and was a Desert Storm Veteran. Mac earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the University of South Carolina. He was employed with Lancaster Funeral Home for over 25 years. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Williams will be held Sunday, August 29, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Douglas Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Douglas Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Bonnie Lane Williams of Lancaster; a son, Timothy D. Williams and his wife Ann Marie of Lynn Haven, FL; a daughter, Mona W. Moorman and her husband Tom of Fort Mill; two step-sons, Jeffery Koon of Great Falls and Stokes Bell and his wife Phyllis of Lancaster; a step-daughter, Angie Hausman and her husband Paul of Columbia; his former wife, Emma Thompson of Lancaster; five grandchildren, Samuel Williams, Allen Williams, Anna Catoe and Catherine Moorman; four great-grandchildren, Emalia Catoe, Elsie Grace Catoe, Bella Williams, Ariel Williams and Liam Williams; three step-grandchildren, Kayla Hausman, Amber Hausman and Gage Bell; and a step-great grandchild, Derrick Webster . The family will receive friends following the commital and other times at 2539 Addison Road, Lancaster. Memorial contributions may be made to Old Waxhaw Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 550, Lancaster, SC 29721 or to Douglas Presbyterian Cemetery Fund, 2325 Sunday Place, Lancaster, SC 29720. Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mr. Williams.
