Mrs. Mabel Estes Kilpatrick, 84, of Fort Lawn, widow of Herman Jasper Kilpatrick, passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 at her home. She was born November 10, 1932 in Chester, a daughter of the late Lonnie Estes and Pauline Lee Wade Estes. Mrs. Kilpatrick was a member of Fort Lawn Baptist Church.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Kilpatrick will be held Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 3 pm at Fort Lawn Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Ted Hodges and Rev. Larry Linderman officiating. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.Mrs. Kilpatrick is survived by a son, Herman Jasper “Jay” Kilpatrick, Jr. of Fort Lawn; a daughter, Janet K. D. Montgomery and her husband Robert of Richburg; a sister, Louise Williams and her husband Woodrow of Lancaster; two grandchildren, William D. Drennan and Jennifer D. Crowder and her husband W. Randolph; and four great-grandchildren, William R. Crowder, Jr, Cayce W. Crowder, Abram M. Crowder and Claire E. Crowder. She was preceded in death by a brother, Roy William Estes.The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Fort Lawn Baptist Church and other times at the home at 775 Busters Landing Road, Fort Lawn.Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Kilpatrick.
