Louida Gregory Payne

Mrs. Louida Gregory Payne, 82, of Kershaw passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born November 11, 1935 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Kermit Gregory and Evelyn McManus Gregory. Mrs. Payne was a longstanding and active member of Taxahaw Baptist Church. She also loved the hymns of the church.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Payne will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 11 am at Taxahaw Baptist Church with the Rev. Steven Sullivan and Rev. Tommy Howell officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mrs. Payne is survived by a son, Julian T. Faile of Minneapolis, MN. She was twice widowed, first by Delano Griggs Faile and then by Boyce Payne. Mrs. Payne was also preceded in death by a brother, Dwayne Gregory.The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Taxahaw Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.The family suggest that memorial contributions be made to Taxahaw Baptist Church, 1734 Overbrook Road, Kershaw, SC 29067.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Payne.Read Obituary
