Lorraine Hargett Knight

Mrs. Lorraine Hargett Knight, 83, of Lancaster, widow of Walter G. Knight, passed away Friday, July 28, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born September 9, 1933 in Chester, a daughter of the late James Hargett and Adalene Scoggins Hargett. Mrs. Knight was a member of Zion United Methodist Church.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Knight will be held Sunday, July 30, 2017 at 3 pm at Zion United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Burgess officiating. Burial will be in the Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.Mrs. Knight is survived by two daughters, Karen Knight of Monroe and Kim Ford and her husband Lex of Murrells Inlet; a sister, Francis Outen of Lancaster; two grandchildren, Jake Ford and his wife Katie and Will Ford and his wife Tori; and two great-grandchildren, Emmett Ford and Collins Ford. She was preceded in death by a son, Walter Keith Knight; two brothers, Charles Hargett and Jimmy Hargett.
