Lorene Adams Blackmon

Mrs. Lorene Adams Blackmon, 89, formerly of Lancaster, and widow of Quay Blackmon, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center. She was born October 10, 1932 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Haskell Adams and Bernice Sims Adams. Mrs. Blackmon retired from Springs Industries with close to 50 years of service. She loved playing her piano and singing. Mrs. Blackmon also loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Fork Hill Baptist Church.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Blackmon will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Fork Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Walters officiating. Burial will be in the Fork Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.Mrs. Blackmon is survived by a daughter, Krista Blackmon of Clover; a sister, Nell Ashley and her husband Clyde of Heath Springs; three grandchildren, Tylan Adams, Bethany Powers and Brandon Audino; and three great-grandchildren, Bryson Adams, Canaan Powers and Mary Powers.
