Mr. Lewis Scott Dority, 76, of Rock Hill passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Pruitt Health-Rock Hill. He was born February 16, 1946 in Rock Hill, a son of the late William Eugene Dority and Stella Mae Jordan Dority. He was a US Navy Veteran. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Dority will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 12 noon at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Crosby officiating. Mr. Dority is survived by two daughters, Candice Elizabeth Dority Sellers and Tracy Michelle Dority Franklin both of Lancaster; a brother, David L. Dority of Rock Hill; four sisters, Libby D. Burgess and her husband, Richard of Lancaster, Jeannie D. Benton of Jacksonville, FL, Susan D. Hair of Lancaster and Christina R. Dority of Rock Hill; and three grandchildren, Karlie Sellers, Jackson Sellers, and Judson Woodrow Whitaker. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Eugene Dority, Jr. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 noon, Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Immanuel Baptist Church. Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mr. Dority.
