Kathleen Gordon Robinson

Mrs. Kathleen Gordon Robinson, 100 years old of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at White Oak Manor. She was born June 19, 1920, in Monroe, NC a daughter of the late Plumer James Gordon and Connie Watkins Gordon. She was married to the late Jack Newton Robinson for 59 years. Mrs. Robinson was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and retired from Springs Industries after 46 years of service.Her hobbies included knitting, quilting, gardening and sewing. Mrs. Robinson made school bags for children in Haiti for several years. She believed that you never get too old to do God’s work.Mrs. Robinson is survived by three sons, Ray Robinson and Hazel Robinson and his wife Terry of Lancaster and Jack Robinson and his wife Edna of Monroe; and a sister Polly Haigler of Marshville, and a brother James Gordon of Monroe, N.C.Mrs. Robinson is survived by six grandchildren, Mark Robinson, Lisa Phillips, Rachel Hensley, Dawn Creech, Jack Robinson, III (Tripp), and Kim Joines. She is survived by twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, one daughter, Rosalie Robinson Sparks, three brothers, Joe, Frank and Ralph Gordon, four sisters, Hazel Price, Bonnie Outen, Lois Simpson and Johnie May Summerlin. She was also preceded by one grandchild. Crystal Fields and one daughter in law, Frances Robinson.A service to celebrate the life of this dear mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother will be Monday, December 28, 2020 at 3:00 PM at the graveside at Lancaster Memorial Park with the Rev. Michael Jarrell officiating.
