Karen Barr Carter

Mrs. Karen Barr Carter, 61, of Lancaster passed away January, 15, 2021 at Prisma Health Baptist Hospital in Columbia. She was born January 12, 1960 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Marvin “Doc” Barr and Catherine Elizabeth Steele Barr and was the widow of Charles Keith Carter. Mrs. Carter was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church where she loved helping with Bake Sales and BBQ at the Church. She was an Elvis Fan, loved her cats and dogs and going on trips with her sisters.A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Carter will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Candice Sloan officiating.Mrs. Carter is survived by her son Chris Carter of Lancaster; one brother Jimmy Barr of Lancaster; two sisters; Linda Terry (Russell) of Lancaster and Mildred Bradburn of Lancaster; four grandchildren; Bree, Lyra, Katherine and Zoey.
