Mr. Johnny Marion Small, 79, of Lancaster, widower of Kathleen Elizabeth Knight Small, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 at his home. He was born March 21, 1942 in Lancaster, a son of the late Perry Luther Small and Mary Ellen Moseley Small. Mr. Small was a member of Temple Baptist Church, attended Catawba Baptist Church and retired from Springs Industries. Mr. Small was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He loved working in his yard, garden, wood working, playing his guitar and singing. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Small will be held Friday, March 26, 2021 at 3 p.m. from the graveside at Lancaster Memorial Park with the Rev. Danny Christopher & Pastor Elmore Frazier officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park with Military Honors.Mr. Small is survived by two daughters, Nanette Small Yontz and her husband Mike of Bellevue, OH and Stacey Small of Lancaster; three brothers, Clyde Small and his wife Betty, Richard Small and Dewey Small and his wife Angie all of Lancaster; four sisters, Betty Rowell, Margie Hough and her husband Clyde and Judy Williams all of Lancaster and Geneva Moody of Flint, MI; five grandchildren, Erica Merritt, Lacey Fowler, Hali Fowler, Corey Gaskin and Cloey Frazier; and two great-grandchildren, Liam Gaskin and Caylin Savage, his son in law Bret Johnson of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Johnson; two brothers, Clifford Small and Charles Small; and a sister, Margaret Caskey.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mr. Small.Read Obituary
