Johnnie Lenson West Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Johnnie Lenson West, Jr., age 72, of Lancaster passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021 at MUSC-Lancaster. He was born July 10, 1949 in Lancaster, a son of the late Johnnie Lenson West, Sr. and Doris Louise Ruth West. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. West will be held Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 3 p.m. at Freedom Freewill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mitch Ingram officiating. Mr. West was a member of Freedom Freewill Baptist Church. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. He loved spending time with family and liked helping others, Clemson sports, working with his hands, and fishing. In his younger days, he enjoyed weight lifting and working out. Mr. West is survived by his wife Kathryn Travis West; four sons, Tim Scott of Columbia, James West (Darnele) of Lancaster, Michael West (Amy) of Lancaster, and Josh West (Brittany) of Lancaster; his daughter, Kyndra Stroud (Myron) of Lancaster; three sisters, Pat Vick, Susie Jenkins (Billy), and Carol Gainer (David) all of Lancaster; his grandchildren, Kent, Matt, Makayla, Amber, Watson, Jacob, Ethan, Makenzie, Kalyn, Kaleb, Skyler, Maliyah, and Wesliey; his great-granddaughter, Kennedy Scott; and his god-daughter, Jessica Hegler. He was preceded in death by his son, Kenny Scott; and his grandchild, Kyzer West. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Freedom Freewill Baptist Church and other times at the home.
