Jesse Franklin Catoe

Mr. Jesse Franklin Catoe, 89, of Lancaster passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at his home. He was born January 19, 1929 in Kershaw, a son of the late Oscar Samuel Catoe and Lucy Almetta Williams Catoe. A US Army Korean War Veteran, Mr. Catoe had retired from Springs Industries after 46 years of service. He enjoyed working in his yard, working with his azaleas and in his vegetable garden. He specialized in rooting azaleas.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Catoe will be held Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Douglas Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Harriss Ricks, Rev. Steve Brumley and Pansy Wilson officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mr. Catoe is survived by his wife, Rosa L. Catoe; two sons, Jesse Franklin Catoe, II and his fiancé Hope Mosley and Chris L. Catoe and his girlfriend Becky Lane all of Lancaster; a daughter, Tina R. Brown and her husband Roger of North Augusta; a brother, Samuel Oscar Catoe and his wife Marie of Camden; two sisters, Lyda B. Davis and Sharon E. Horton and her husband Buddy all of Lancaster; eight grandchildren, Courtney, Harley, Kinlee, Alyssa, Kierstyn, Remington, Jessica and David; three great grandchildren, Janna, Kimber and Mickey; and a sister in law, Freida Catoe. In addition to his parents, Mr. Catoe was preceded in death by three brothers, Otis D. Catoe, Curtis L. Catoe, Charles W.
