Mr. Jerry Dale Godfrey, 70, of Lancaster passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021 at his home. He was born March 26, 1951 in Chicago, IL, a son of the late Glenn Godfrey and Barbara McDonald Godfrey. Mr. Godfrey served our country honorably as a war veteran during Vietnam. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Godfrey will be held Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Mr. Godfrey is survived by his wife, Janie Godfrey, two daughters Sarah Jenkins of Lancaster and Sally Petty (Ron) of Rock Hill, SC, seven grandchildren Alexis Elmore, Adrieanna Higgins, Bryan and Chris Jenkins, Christy Faulk, Lisa Myers, and Chucky Elmore, Jr. and eleven great-grandchildren. Mr. Godfrey was preceded in death by his parents, a son Chucky Elmore Sr. and a sister Glenda Bowers. Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mr. Jerry Dale Godfrey.
