Janice Darlene Caskey Bowers, 62, passed away Sunday, January, 2019 in Surfside Beach. She was born June 15, 1956 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Alvin Madison Caskey and Thelma Forrest Alewine Caskey. Janice was a member of Heath Springs Baptist Church and had retired from Springs Industries. She loved spending time with her family, doing crafts and listening to music. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, collecting sea shells. A service to celebrate Janice’s life will be held Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the home. Janice is survived by a son, Michael Bowers of Heath Springs; and a sister, Johnsie Caskey and her wife, Angela of the home. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pamela C. Bowers. The family is receiving friends at the home. Notes to the family may be made at www.lancasterfuneralhome.com.
