Jane Faile Roof

Mrs. Jane Faile Roof, 65, of Lancaster passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at her home. She was born June 9, 1953 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Soulee Faile and Ola Baker Faile. Mrs. Roof was a faithful member of Taylors Grove Baptist Church. She was also grandmother to children other than her family members.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Roof will be held Friday, November 9, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Taylors Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Howell officiating. Burial will be in the Taylors Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.Mrs. Roof is survived by her husband, Johnny Roof of Lancaster; a son, Johnny Roof, Jr. and his wife Crystal of Lancaster; three daughters, Joy McIlwain and her husband Vonte, Gale Hayes and her husband Chris and Mandy Hinson and her husband Jesse all of Lancaster; 13 grandchildren, Kureston, Jarvis, Marcus, Ny’Jay, Amodre, Zack, Ronnie, Zach, Jen, Christopher, Amber, Alexis and Selena; and 13 great-grandchildren; Ty’Kira, Jalashia, Ny’Ron, A’Aliha, Aubrey, Tyler, Anthony, Khloe, Allie, Ny’Trey, Alaina, Carson and Brantley. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert Lee Faile and Carol Faile; a sister, Judy Love; and a grandson, Joshua Hayes.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home of Johnny and Jane.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Roof.Read Obituary
